Jerónimo Martins among the sponsors of the Future of Magazine 2025 conference

Jerónimo Martins, the Portuguese business group ranked 37th among the world’s largest retailers, has joined as a sponsor of the international Future of Magazine 2025 conference, organized by Magazine Media Lab/CICANT.

MagNet researcher to launch book at FoM 2025

Talita Souza Magnolo, a MagNet researcher and research associate at PPGCOM/UFJF, will launch her first book, Intervalo: Magazine and Television Culture in Brazil (1960–1970) during the Future of Magazine 2025 conference, held 29–31 October 2025 at Lusófona University in Lisbon. 

MagNet researchers showcase work at leading journalism conference in Cardiff

Seven researchers from MagNet (Magazine Media Research Network) took part in the Future of Journalism Conference, held at Cardiff University (UK) on 11–12 September 2025. Recognized as the leading international conference dedicated to the study of journalism, the event drew scholars from around the globe to explore emerging challenges and innovations in media.

Future of Magazine 2025 announces new registration deadlines

The Future of Magazine International Conference has announced updated registration deadlines. Early registration now closes on September 15, followed by regular registration available until October 17, and a final late registration period extending up to October 28. More info here.

MagLab-led FilmEU+ mobility project secures funding to advance Interconnected Journalism

MagLab in collaboration with Baltic Film, Media and Arts School of Tallinn University (TLU BFM) in Estonia and Ireland's Dún Laoghaire Institute of Art, Design and Technology (IADT), has been awarded support through the FilmEU+ Collegium staff mobility scheme. The project, titled “Interconnected Journalism: reconnecting people to and through the media,” successfully secured funding to host the mobility programme, with Lusófona University acting as the official host institution.
