The International Journal of Magazine Studies (IJMS) proudly announces the opening of submissions for its very first edition, Vol. 1 No. 1 (2024). Authors can submit their manuscripts online after registering on the IJMS website until January 8, 2024.

We are proud to announce the Scientific Committee of FoM 23. Thank you very much to every member of the community that accepted to join us in this event that intends to bring together various researchers to share insights, ideas and discuss the current status and technical challenges the medium will face. MagLab is pleased to announce the first edition of the biennial Future of Magazine conference (FoM), organized by CICANT, Lusófona University research center, on 19 – 21 July 2023. Nico Carpentier and David Abrahamson will be the two keynote speakers on a conference that intends to bring together academia and industry.

MagLab was launched on 6 December 2022 in a hybrid presentation session at Lusófona University. The event counted on the presence of Tim Holmes, the precursor of Magazine Studies in Europe and MagLab’s adviser.

“Magazines do matter” is the motto of MagLab – Magazine Media Lab’s public presentation session on December 6 at 6.30 pm (GMT). The event will occur in a hybrid format in the José Araújo Auditorium of Lusófona University. It will have the participation of Tim Holmes, the precursor of Magazine Studies in Europe and MagLab’s adviser.
