Submissions Open for the Inaugural Edition of the IJMS

The International Journal of Magazine Studies (IJMS) proudly announces the opening of submissions for its very first edition, Vol. 1 No. 1 (2024). Authors can submit their manuscripts online after registering on the IJMS website until January 8, 2024.

1st Future of Magazine Conference

MagLab is pleased to announce the first edition of the biennial Future of Magazine conference (FoM), organized by CICANT, Lusófona University research center, on 19 – 21 July 2023. Nico Carpentier and David Abrahamson will be the two keynote speakers on a conference that intends to bring together academia and industry.

Magazines do matter: MagLab launch

MagLab was launched on 6 December 2022 in a hybrid presentation session at Lusófona University. The event counted on the presence of Tim Holmes, the precursor of Magazine Studies in Europe and MagLab’s adviser.

“Magazines do matter” is the motto of MagLab – Magazine Media Lab’s public presentation session on December 6 at 6.30 pm (GMT). The event will occur in a hybrid format in the José Araújo Auditorium of Lusófona University. It will have the participation of Tim Holmes, the precursor of Magazine Studies in Europe and MagLab’s adviser.
