Elena Caratti announced as FoM 2025 keynote speaker

MagLab is thrilled to announce that Elena Caratti, Associate Professor in the Department of Design at Politecnico di Milano, has been confirmed as keynote speaker at the 2nd edition of the Future of Magazine (FoM). The international conference is organized by CICANT and will take place from 29 to 31 October 2025 at Lusófona University in Lisbon, Portugal.

Elena Caratti will deliver the talk “Exo-Publishing as a Space Other: The Cultural and Political Power of Indie Magazines”. Her research focuses on visual cultures and editorial design, and she is the author and editor of several publications, including co-editor of Design is translation (2016), and Designing ethically in a complex world (2024).

The call for papers for FoM 2025 is open until 19 May 2025, inviting submissions of original research abstracts (maximum 500 words, double-blind) via the dedicated submission platform.
