MagLab coordinators lead conference‑organising workshops at Lusófona University

MagLab’s scientific coordinator Carla Cardoso and assistant scientific coordinator Ana Figueiras participated in the VII Pedagogical Training Days at Ensino Lusófona, delivering two sessions on “How to Organise an International Conference?” on July 8, 2025. Held as part of a week-long professional development programme for professors and researchers (July 7–11), the workshops equipped attendees with practical tools and methodologies for planning and executing successful international academic events.

Cardoso and Figueiras co-lead the biennial Future of Magazine (FoM) conference, currently preparing its second edition for October 29–31, 2025 in Lisbon. The FoM conference is a flagship initiative of MagLab under CICANT, bringing together international media scholars and industry experts to explore the evolving landscape of magazines.

The call for papers for FoM 2025 is open until July 14, 2025, inviting submissions of original research abstracts (maximum 500 words, double-blind) via the dedicated submission platform.
