Boris Krywicki holds a PhD in Information and Communication and is a member of both the Liège Game Lab (University of Liège, Belgium) and the Magazine Media Research Network (MagNet). His research focuses on the investigative techniques employed by video game journalists. He is the co-author of Presse Start. 40 ans de magazines jeux vidéo en France (Omaké Books, 2020) and La Plume dans la Play. Comment les techniques d’enquête ont investi la presse jeu vidéo (Presses Universitaires de Liège, 2024). He also contributed to the Manuel d’analyse de la presse magazine (Armand Colin, 2018). More recently, Boris Krywicki has explored how specialized journalists are rethinking their editorial roles through the lens of online video platforms, such as Twitch and YouTube.
